Travelle at The Langham COVID-19 Guidelines >
In response to Governor Pritzker’s announcement, Travelle Restaurant and Bar will temporarily be suspending indoor dining operations until further notice.

In celebration of the Art Institute of Chicago’s “Monet and Chicago” exhibition beginning on September 5, Travelle at The Langham debuts a series of Claude Monet-inspired cocktails from mixologist Slava Borisov. With this collection, the talented Travelle beverage team reimagines the famous works of Claude Monet into beautiful handcrafted cocktails.

Travelle cocktails included in the Monet-Inspired Collection include:

  • Arrival of the Normandy Train ($21) – Made with Calvados Christian Drouin VSOP Pays D’Auge, Cocchi Americano, Elderflower Liqueur, Green Chartreuse, and Lemon, the Arrival of the Normandy Train cocktail is inspired by Monet’s days perfecting his painting skills inside the train terminal that connected Paris and Normandy. Historically, Normandy is famous for Clavados, an apple brandy which is the base spirit of this tantalizing libation. The cocktail also features aromatic smoke, a touch that emulates the puffs of smoke from the old-school steam trains of the time.
  • Water Lily Pond ($17) – Inspired by Monet’s Water Lily Pond, this light summer spritz is made with Ketel One Botanicals Cucumber-Mint, Lillet Blanc, Elderflower Liqueur, Prosecco, and soda. With notes of refreshing cucumber, mint and elderflower, the cocktail also features French wine-based aperitif, Lillet Blanc, an aromatic component that brings the soft, hanging greenery and lilies of Monet’s home in Giverny, France to life with every sip.
  • Stacks of Wheat ($16) – Monet’s Stacks of Wheat is one of his most popular works of art. Made with Marker’s Mark, Gran Classico, and Dolin Blanc, this eponymous cocktail is a combination of wheated bourbon with the addition of French vermouth and Italian bitter of Turin. Uniquely, when this cocktail is sold to-go (the only of the series that is available for takeout) it is served in a special wax-sealed bottle with a crystal ice cube on the side.

Travelle’s Monet-Inspired cocktail collection is available at the restaurant and bar from September 5 through January 18 during the Art Institute of Chicago’s “Monet and Chicago” exhibition. Guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail at Travelle before venturing to see the exhibit for a day of culture and sophisticated sipping.
