Speed Rack and Travelle at The Langham Partner to Fundraise for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Bartenders Ivy Mix and Slava Borisov to host a virtual cocktail class to benefit Bright Pink.
Speed Rack, the global nonprofit that has raised over a million dollars in the fight against breast cancer, and Travelle at The Langham are joining forces to host a virtual cocktail class to benefit Bright Pink on October 28 at 4pm CST.
Ivy Mix, Co-Founder of Speed Rack, Owner of Leyenda in Brooklyn, NY and author of the newly released cocktail book, Spirits of Latin America, and Slava Borisov, Lead Mixologist at Travelle at the Langham and one of Diageo’s 50 Best Bartenders in the World Class US 2020, will co-host a virtual Zoom on cocktail infusions. Attendees will learn how to perfect the art of cocktail infusions at home while watching live demos from the pros. Home-friendly recipes will be provided to guests in advance so they can join along in real time if they prefer. A Q&A with both bartenders will follow, allowing attendees to tap the expertise of Mix and Borisov.
Tickets are $20 per person with the full ticket price going directly to support Bright Pink. The organization helps to save lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering women to know their risk and manage their health proactively. Bright Pink implements a two-pronged approach to breast and ovarian health education. By educating young women as well as their healthcare providers, they foster a supportive healthcare relationship where informed women have proactive conversations with trusted providers on a regular basis. Their unique mix of digital and in-person tactics drives exponential health behavior change.
