Launching on Saturday, April 13, 2019 and continuing Saturday, May 18 and Saturday, June 1, Travelle at The Langham presents a calligraphy workshop series taught by two local instructors: Ricki DiCola of r + ink and Julie Wildman of Wildman Designs. During the class, participants learn the art of beautiful handwriting while enjoying a delicious brunch at Travelle, a casually elegant restaurant, lounge, and bar featuring Chef Jeff Vucko’s seasonal American cuisine.
Calligraphy is an inviting art form that adds personalization to cards, notes, and gifts. The calligraphy workshops give guests the opportunity to learn a new skill in an intimate setting, while creating a piece to take home for future inspiration.
The class includes all necessary tools to master the art of modern handwriting, and after students learn the techniques, they enjoy brunch from Chef Jeff and Pastry Chef Danielle Marelli. The three-course brunch includes a welcome glass of champagne, followed by a seasonal fruit platter and shared Chicken and Waffles and Avocado Toast for the first course; a second course choice of English Benedict, Travelle Benedict, or ‘MAC’ Burger; and shared Chocolate Cake and Banoffee Bread Pudding for dessert.
